STUNT RIGGING LEVEL 1

Service Description

The course content has been developed for complete beginners with no experience or knowledge, as a refresher for those who have a little rigging experience and for those who would like to pursue a career as a stunt rigger. It has also been designed for stunt performers who may not necessarily want to get in to rigging but want to better understand the methods & foundations of stunt rigging and improve their base knowledge. The course instructors are well experienced stunt riggers who currently work in the film & tv industry and have done over the past 20 years. They have worked as performers on wires themselves as well as operating, designing, installing & running rigs. Please note this is NOT a wire performance heavy course and is predominantly a classroom-based stunt rigging course that contains physical and practical elements. Also this course does not give any kind of official qualification (as no such thing currently exists) or justification of competency and although attaining qualification status would be the ultimate goal, the only thing that would be achieved at the end of the 4 days is course completion status and the ability to book on to Stunt Rigging Level 2, if the practical & written assessment pass marks are achieved. Personal accident insurance is optional and if you require it you must arrange this yourself. These sessions are not endorsed by The British Stunt Register, any committee members or any affiliates although sessions are overseen by a full member of the British Stunt Register. If you find you need to cancel and it is less than 14 days notice, you may transfer your place to someone else but it will be your responsibility to sort payment out with them and their details must be supplied at least 48hrs before the course start date. In the event you have to cancel, we will do everything we can to help fill the space and avoid you losing any money paid. The course will only run with a minimum number of 5 participants. If this is not reached 48hrs prior to the course, then it will have to be cancelled.
