Service Description

This wire performance workshop is a highly practical, physically focused session, supported by some classroom-style learning. Participants will experience working on the end of the line and will learn the body mechanics required to execute dynamic movement and action safely. The session offers the opportunity to fly through the air, perform superhuman-style movement, hover like Superman, or leap like Spider-Man. The workshop is suitable for participants of all abilities, from complete beginners with no prior wire experience to those seeking a refresher after limited experience. It is also appropriate for competent wire riders who wish to develop, refine, or practise their skillset. The session will cover basic wire work, pull-backs, wraps, deadman techniques, fight beats, impact work, and landings, both with and without weapons. Participants will have access to a variety of rig types during the sessions, ranging from basic line pulls and wraps to pendulum, descender, and V-rigs. Stunt harnesses will be provided; however, participants who have their own harness are encouraged to bring it with them. Places are limited to 10 participants. Session timings are based on 7–10 participants. If there are 4–6 participants, session times may be reduced according to final numbers, and participants will be notified of confirmed timings before the session. Please note: Stunt harnesses will be provided; however, if you have your own, please bring it with you. Martial arts harnesses, full stunt harnesses, and leg cuffs will be available. Personal accident insurance is optional. Participants who require cover must arrange this independently. A minimum of 4 participants is required for the sessions to proceed. Your place will be secured once you have booked and paid a non-refundable deposit. When the minimum number of participants has been reached, you will receive a payment link for the remaining balance. If minimum numbers are not reached 3 days before the session, the session will be cancelled and any payments made will be refunded in full.
