Introducing the ALP Workshop, wire performance heavy workshop sessions that are predominantly practical & physical sessions with some classroom style learning. Come along & experience being on the end of the line and learn the body mechanics to create safe execution of dynamic movement or action. Fly through the air; display feats of superhuman ability; hover like Superman or climb a wall like Spiderman. The workshop sessions are for everyone of all abilities whether a complete beginner with no experience or knowledge of wires, as a refresher for those who have or have had minimal wire experience & for those who are competent wire riders who want to develop or practise their skillset. Rigs available will range from up & downers, slackline & counterweight rigs to pendulum, descender & V-rigs. We will be covering basic wire work; pull backs; wraps; deadman; fight beats; impact work and landings all with & without weapons. A pre-set choreographed pre-vis will be rehearsed and filmed during the sessions using the wire rigs so you will have the opportunity to take footage away from the sessions too. Sign up for 1 day or book the 2 days for a truly 'full on - hands on' workshop experience. There is a discount for booking both sessions, discount will be applied at the payment stage. Members of The British Stunt Register are eligible for a 15% discount on the total course cost if booked and paid for at least 1 week prior to the course starting. PLEASE NOTE: Participants must provide their own harness, if you don't have one, borrow one. Personal accident insurance is optional and if you require it you must arrange this yourself. These sessions are not endorsed by The British Stunt Register, any committee members or any affiliates although sessions are overseen by a Full Member of The British Stunt Register. The sessions require a minimum of 5 participants. If this is not reached 1 week prior to the sessions, then they will have to be cancelled.
