STUNT RIGGING COURSE LEVEL 2

Service Description

This 5-day intensive course builds on the Level 1 programme, taking attendees deeper into the theory & practical techniques of stunt rigging. The course focuses on ratchets, descender devices, safe installation & operation, and the practical application of complex rigging systems. Attendees will be hands-on for most of the course, with a strong emphasis on safe working practices, correct rigging protocols, teamwork, and the implementation of rigging plans. Course Content • Installing, testing, breaking down & documenting rigs • Improvised rigging techniques • Designing complex & compound rigging systems • Advanced multiple-point rigging techniques • Advanced splicing • Use of cranes within rigging scenarios • Safe installation and operation of ratchets & descender devices • Working effectively within a rigging team • Refreshing essential Level 1 fundamentals • Applying safe working practices, correct rigging protocols & rigging plans All rigging equipment required for the course will be supplied. • Attendees must be 18 years or older & in good physical and mental health. • A full body stunt harness or martial arts harness is recommended. Bringing your own or borrowing one is preferable, although not mandatory. Harnesses will not be subjected to stress forces or severe shock loads. Attendees will be putting on a harness & experiencing being on the lines, so bringing a harness will be beneficial. • A full rope access harness & required climbing equipment are needed for attendees who wish to practise rope access techniques. Participant Equipment • Fit-for-purpose rigging gloves Optional Equipment • Set of Selma Fids, which will also be available to buy on the course • Line cutters or scissors As with the Level 1 course, this programme does not provide an official qualification or confirmation of competency. Completion of the 5-day course provides course completion status only. Attendees who complete the course may be eligible to book onto Stunt Rigging Level 3, provided they have met the prerequisite logged rigging hours & achieved the required pass mark on the written test. Cancellation Policy • 8 days’ notice or more: 100% refund • 5–7 days’ notice: 50% refund • 4 days’ notice or less: no refund All cancellations are subject to a £75 processing fee. Attendees may transfer their place to another person. It is the attendee’s responsibility to arrange payment with the replacement attendee’s details must be supplied at least 72 hours before course start.
