Service Description

A one-day course giving stunt and action performers the opportunity to step into a professionally structured screen-action environment and take part in recreating a dynamic action scene inspired by a selected film. Working as an ensemble, participants will break down the scene, explore the physical beats, learn the choreography, and perform the action with an emphasis on safety, timing, camera awareness, and believable screen performance. The day is designed to be practical, collaborative, and performance-focused. Participants will be guided through the process of turning a memorable action sequence into a repeatable, camera-ready performance, including movement preparation, reactions, spacing, fight or impact beats where appropriate, and continuity between performers. The aim is not to copy a film exactly, but to understand how action storytelling works on screen and how performers contribute to a safe, convincing, and exciting final sequence. What Participants Will Do • Analyse the chosen film scene and identify its key action beats, character objectives, and performance rhythm. • Warm up and prepare physically for the required movement, reactions, falls, strikes, or tactical action elements. • Learn and rehearse choreographed action in stages, building from basics to a full sequence. • Explore camera angles, eyelines, marks, distance, timing, and continuity for screen action. • Work as part of a team to maintain safety, communication, and consistency throughout the scene. • Perform the recreated sequence in a controlled environment, with feedback on performance quality and screen impact. Who It Is For This course is aimed at stunt performers, action performers, actors with action experience, martial artists, screen-combat performers, and trainees looking to develop practical on-camera action skills. It is best suited to participants who are physically capable, comfortable working in a group, and committed to following direction and safety protocols throughout the day. The focus of the day is on safe, disciplined, and repeatable performance for camera. Participants will develop their understanding of how action is constructed for film, how to sell impact without compromising safety, and how to adapt performance energy for different shots. The session also encourages creative problem-solving, ensemble awareness, and professional set etiquette. The selected film choice will be shown in the service image when booking.
