JERK RAM/RATCHET WORKSHOP

Service Description

Introducing the Jerk Ram/Ratchet Workshop: a fully practical wire performance session that includes an introduction to jerk rams, more commonly known as ratchets, and a brief explanation of how they operate. Participants will experience working on the end of the line while learning the body mechanics required to execute dynamic, high-velocity movement and action safely. The session will cover backwards and sideways ratchets, front pulls, and wraps. Participants are strongly advised to bring suitable protective equipment, including a back protector, elbow pads, knee pads, hip pads, and a hard-shell helmet. The workshop is suitable for participants of all abilities, from complete beginners with no prior wire experience to those seeking a refresher after limited experience, as well as competent wire riders who wish to develop or practise their skillset. Places are limited to 10 participants. Session timings are based on 7–10 participants. Where there are 4–6 participants, session times may be reduced according to final numbers, and participants will be notified of the confirmed timings before the session. Please note: Stunt harnesses will be provided; however, participants who have their own harness are encouraged to bring it with them. Personal accident insurance is optional. Participants who require cover must arrange this independently. These sessions are not endorsed by The British Stunt Register, its committee members, or any affiliated parties; however, sessions are overseen by a Full Member of The British Stunt Register. A minimum of 4 participants is required for the sessions to proceed. Your place will be secured once you have booked and paid a non-refundable deposit. When the minimum number of participants has been reached, you will receive a payment link for the remaining session balance. If minimum numbers are not reached 3 days before the sessions, the sessions will be cancelled and any payments made will be refunded in full.
