Service Description

The Fire & Wires session combines being set alight with flying on line-assisted systems. It includes three burns: two using line assists (hand pull & ratchet) and a 4-metre fire fall. To attend, you must have completed a wire workshop at the Action House or an equivalent course and have prior experience with fire, preferably having been set alight in some capacity. Important: Participants are responsible for providing all required garments, please refer to the Fire Burn session information detail for a full breakdown of requirements. You will also receive the information via email when the session is booked. A full set of pads and a helmet is recommended for the session, full stunt harnesses can be supplied but if you have your own stunt harness or can borrow one, it is preferable to bring your own. Although some items are optional, fire-resistant underwear is compulsory. Suitable materials include CarbonX, Nomex, OMP, or equivalent. Participants must have at least 1 full set of fire-resistant underwear to take part, incl. a long-sleeved top, bottoms, socks, gloves, & hood where possible. 2 sets are preferred. Please note that no fire-resistant underwear means you will not be able to complete a burn. When purchasing 2 sets, it is advisable to buy different sizes, for example 1 small & 1 medium rather than 2 of the same size, allowing for layering & future use as safety garments. Hoods & gloves are recommended for this session, and gloves can be supplied if required. It is also highly recommended to bring a wetsuit. Places are limited to 8 participants. Session timings are based on 6-8 participants. Where there are 4–6 participants, session times may be reduced according to final numbers & participants will be notified of the confirmed timings before the session. A minimum of 4 participants is required for the session to proceed. Your place will be secured once you have booked & paid a non-refundable deposit. When the minimum number of participants has been reached, you will receive a payment link for the remaining session balance. If minimum numbers are not reached 3 days before the session, the session will be cancelled & any payments made will be refunded.
