Service Description

The Action House Fight Workshop is a one-day practical training session designed to help participants transfer their existing martial arts experience and skills into fight performance for film and screen. Participants will learn how to perform fight choreography in front of the camera, whether working as a lead fight double, background fighter, or alongside cast members. The workshop will focus on essential screen-fighting fundamentals, including distance, timing, control, vocal performance, acting techniques, and the effective use of camera angles. Live visual feedback will be used throughout to support practical learning and development. The workshop will incorporate a range of fight styles and beats, while also covering foundational reactions and impacts. Basic armed and unarmed partner and group work will be included. Participants are strongly advised to bring suitable protective equipment, such as a back protector, elbow or forearm pads, knee or shin pads, and hip pads. Soft pads are suitable, as training will take place on fully matted flooring. Please wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement, as this is a highly physical workshop. A minimum of 4 participants is required for the session to proceed. Session timings are based on 12–20 participants. Where there are 4–12 participants, session times may be reduced according to final numbers, and participants will be notified of confirmed timings before the session. Your place will be secured once you have booked and paid a non-refundable deposit. When the minimum number of participants has been reached, you will receive a payment link for the remaining session balance. If minimum numbers are not reached 3 days before the session, the session will be cancelled and any payments made will be refunded in full.
